2007 AACD Session in Atlanta
Dr. Housley recently returned from the annual session of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry in Atlanta, Georgia, held in May 2007. He took the opportunity to take courses from world-renown educators in cosmetic dentistry, take in-depth, hands-on workshops, and attend inspirational general sessions.
His goal is to master the latest advancements in modern cosmetic dental care so that he can provide patients with a beautiful smile, whether it be through teeth whitening, veneers, natural tooth colored fillings, and dental implants.
Dr. Housley is finding that more patient are requesting cosmetic dentistry than ever before because they have come to realize that their smile is one of their most important, permanent features. When the smile is beautiful, it makes patients feel wonderfully confident.
2006 AACD Session in Nashville
It's been proven that smiling makes you more approachable and appealing, and that's exactly why Dr. Housley recently returned from a trip to Nashville, Tennessee to attend the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry's annual session.
"Adults today are eager to look and feel young, and as part of that, more are turning to cosmetic dentistry," said Dr. Housley, after returning from his trip to learn the latest in cosmetic dentistry. "Procedures run the gamut and include bleaching, braces and veneers. If you're interested in brightening your smile, it's important to do your homework to ensure that you get what you want."
Patients of Dr. Housley can rest assured that he is diligent about continuing his education because he takes his profession and patients very seriously. His greatest concern is providing the best he and his profession has to offer to patients
Mastering Complex Cases
Dr. Housley has returned from a course at the Dawson Center in St. Petersburg, Florida that helped hone his skills in complex restorative dentistry. To prepare, he was required to present a complex restorative case to a group of his peers. Under the guidance of the Dawson Center teaching staff, his presentation was dissected and scrutinized, requiring him to defend his diagnosis and treatment plan. This microscopic analysis of his case allowed for an intense learning experience that further improved his diagnosis and treatment planning skills in a wide range of complex dental situations.
"The sophistication of a patient's discriminating eye has increased," says Dr. Housley, shortly after returning from this course. "Now people want it all perfect--smile that's straight, bright and white with a minimum of pink."
Through this course, Dr. Housley gained the knowledge to treatment plan every type of complex case, and he's very excited to begin applying his newly acquired knowledge to his patients so that they can have the smile of their dreams.

Perfect Smiles in Paradise
The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistrys 18th Annual Scientific
Session was held May 7-12, 2002 in Honolulu, Hawaii. This was where
many of the world's best dentists went to increase their understanding
and skills in advanced cosmetic dentistry. While the breathtaking beauty
of the Islands was a big attraction, we believe the educational program
remained unmatched by any other dental conference offered anywhere in
the world. We were excited to be in attendance at many of these thought
provoking and expertise-focused seminars and courses.
More than 85 world-class speakers presented programs that ranged from
specific clinical procedures for excellence in cosmetic dentistry to
general sessions aimed at helping improve the practice environment.
The meeting was geared for all dental professionals, including general
dentists, dental specialists, laboratory technicians, business assistants,
hygienists, and clinical assistants. The theme for the 2002 sessions
was: From Solo to Symphony. The theme relates to how multiple
disciplines (general dentists, specialists and others) work together
to create beautiful, long-lasting smiles. Feel free to ask about this
exceptional learning experience and how it can positively influence
your life as well. For more information about the AACD, please call
(800) 543-9220, send an e-mail to info@aacd.com,
or visit the organization online at www.aacd.com.
