An artist needs the right tools and
brushes, carpenters need the right tools and gourmet cooks need the
proper tools to create a perfect soufflé. No matter what the
profession the right tools are essential to high-end results. It is
no different with quality dentistry. You must have the right tools for
the work. Dr.s Bill and Ron Housley have almost every new piece
of high-tech equipment available to dentists. As new advances are made
they will offer the latest in state-of-the-art technology resulting
in beautiful dentistry.
Intraoral Camera
See what your dentist sees in actual time. It is as simple as a pen
sized camera that fits in your mouth The camera sends an image to a
TV monitor for an instant picture of what your teeth and gums look like.
This image is in full-color. Your dentist can print out a copy to take
home so that you may discuss your treatment with your spouse or other
family members.

Computer Imaging
When you go to a beauty counter in an upscale department store you can
receive a preview of your makeover before it is started. The make-up
artist can choose new foundation colors, blush tones or eye makeup by
easily manipulating the computer image. This results in the perfect
colors for your makeover and saves you money by knowing exactly what
to purchase to get the look you want. Now, you can get a preview of
how your smile can look before any treatment is started, thereby, saving
you money and getting the exact look you want, much like the make-over
preview at the cosmetic counter. This is done using a computer imaging
system that shows how your teeth look now and how they can look after
treatment.

Air Abrasion
Do you dislike the drilling, heat, noise and vibration that you used
to have to endure for filling preparation? Air abrasion uses air and
an abrasive powder, just like a mini-sandblaster, to prepare the tooth
with the minimal amount of healthy tooth structure being disturbed.
The best part...it is so quiet!

This system takes a picture of your teeth and the image is immediately
displayed on the computer monitor in the operatory. No longer do you
have to wait for film to develop. The best part is that digital x-rays
are 90 % radiation free! One click of the mouse and your dentist gives
you a larger-than-life view of your teeth and you too see the dental
treatment that is needed as easily as your dentist does.

DIAGNOdent
With better early diagnosis of problem areas, treatment options improve.
DIAGNOdent is a diognostic laser that enables the dentist to recognize
minute changes in the tooth that are often difficult to detect. By diagnosing
early, minimally invasive therapy is possible. If it is decided that
therapy can be postponed, your dentist will be able to monitor the problem
without having to subject you to repeated x-rays.

Master Diagnostic Model (MDM)®
Having a Master Diagnostic Model completed for your mouth can be likened
to the difference between having an MRI or an x-ray done for a head
injury. An MDM guarantees that your smile will come out as perfectly
natural looking and better working than your original smile. Your dentist
makes a perfectly designed mold of your teeth and sends it to a lab.
A precise mold is made with new tech materials and then positioned on
an articulator to determine what needs to be corrected. The articulator
will show how your smile will look on you and the exact shade of whiteness
that will be best for you. When each detail is completly solved the
new model is sent back to your dentist so that you are able to see it
before starting treatment. Using this corrected model the dentist can
construct your smile at a pace that is comfortable for you physically
and financially.
